NVIDIA Branded Video Cards Being Sold At Best Buy

We got word this afternoon that NVIDIA and Best Buy have joined forces and that Best Buy is now directly selling NVIDIA Branded video cards directly to consumers. This is the first time that we have seen NVIDIA branded video cards being sold direct and we went to a few Best Buy stores in St. Louis today and sure enough we spotted the cards sitting on store shelves. We were also shocked to see a $100 price difference between two local stores in the same city. One location had the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB being sold at $199, while the other location had them at $299! We couldn't leave the store empty handed, so expect a peak inside the box here shortly. Update: Check out our overview of the new card here.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB Video Card

Tailor made to hit the gamers’ sweet spot, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 delivers revolutionary levels of price/performance. With up to 4x the DirectX 11 tessellation performance of the competition*, GeForce GTX 460 packs highly detailed visuals into your games - without sacrificing high frame rates. And with NVIDIA 3D Vision, PhysX, and CUDA technologies, GeForce GTX 460 powers all the incredibly realistic effects that your games can throw its way.
