ZOTAC Launches mini-PC with Integrated Blu-ray Drive - ZBOX

ZOTAC today announced their new ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series mini-PCs -- the world’s first shipping mini-PCs with an integrated slot-load Blu-ray drive and slim and stylish design. The PCs utilize Next-Generation NVIDIA ION graphics technology with 16 unified shaders and 512MB of DDR3 memory. By using this GPU along with the new dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor the ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series is able to deliver stunning high-definition Blu-ray video playback at resolutions up to 1080p. The ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series are shipping in two models – the ZBOX Blu-ray HD-ID33 and HD-ID34. The specifications look great, but sadly the mini-PC itself doesn't look that hot. Pictured below is the Zotac ZBOX HD-ID34 and you can grade it visually for yourself. Six more images can be seen in the forums by following the link below if you want to look at different angles and inisde the HD-ID34. It looks like a giant Bluetooth headset if you ask us. Remember how the old Motorola Bluetooth devices used to have the blue ring on the them that glowed when you were on your phone?

The ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series is the ultimate multimedia hub for all your entertainment needs and replaces the function of multiple electronics devices. With the ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series, we are bringing the ability to view Blu-ray movies, streaming Internet video, downloaded videos, store and access your music collection, listen to Internet radio, browse the web, play games and even manage your social networking profiles into a single device,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International.
