Abit quits brand business

Second-tier motherboard maker Abit has reportedly quit the consumer electronics branding business covering product lines such as digital photo frames putting itself completely out of the channel market, according to sources in the channel. It is weird to see Abit gone as they were one of the few companies that supported overclocking and was even the first company to sign a contract with Fata1ty. Without them the enthusiast market might look very different than it does right now.

Abit quit the motherboard brand business at the end of last year and is currently focusing on motherboard ODM/OEM business.
