Merger of AMD and ATI means both to be rebranded as DAAMIT!

The rumors were true. Advanced Micro Devices is purchasing Canadian graphics chip vendor ATI Technologies in a $5.4 billion deal that will undoubtedly reshape the landscape of the PC component industry. If approved, the deal will significantly bolster AMD?s product line, adding cutting-edge graphics chips and chipsets that incorporate graphics capabilities. After the deal is inked both companies will run under the name AMD, but doesn't it make more since to combine ATI and AMD to come up with the name DAAMIT? Of course this is all for laughs, so don't take this news post to heart!
