Sandra 2009 Memory Bandwidth
Sisoft; Sandra 2009:

With Sandra 2009 you can now easily compare the performance of the tested device with its speed and its (published) power (TDP)! Sandra XII SP2 also has SSE4 (Intel) and SSE4A (AMD) benchmark code-paths, which is great for those of you testing next-generation AMD & Intel chips.

Results: Sandra 2009 SP3 showed that the Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition cleaned up the others in this benchmark. With the memory running at 1866MHz the Core i7-975 was pushing 31GB/s of throughput, which is impressive. The other Core i7 series processors were running at 1600MHz in triple-channel with the same 8-8-8-24 timings, so you can see that moving from 1600MHz to 1866MHz memory will give you an additional 3GB/s of memory throughput. The Corsair DOMINATOR 6GB 1866MHz memory kit had no problems on this processor and could easily break the 2GHz mark on the memory kit when overclocking. The DDR3 triple-channel memory controller in the Core i7 series is superb!
