Bundle and BIOS

The bundle is certainly fine, but nothing to really write home about. You get your backplate, a couple of gigabyte stickers and a host of cables for SATA, IDE and floppy drives and your manual, quick start and a CD with drivers and a few apps. Nothing really out of the ordinary, and no games at all.

The Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard sports and AWARD BIOS.

The MIT page is by far the page where you will spend the bulk of your time tweaking.

ACC settings

CPU mulitplier.

Northbridge frequency multiplier.

FSB goes up to 500!

HT link width: 8 or 16.

HT link frequency multiplier.

Here are the multipliers for the memory frequency. x4=800, x5.33=1066. x6.66=Satan I mean, 1333, and of course x8 would be 1600.

DRAM Configuration page is where you will set your timings and your mem clock speeds.

More mem timings to be tweaked!

Vdimm can be set up to .75v higher than default.

SB/HT can be set .3v higher.

Northbridge voltage can be tweaked up to 1.68v

NB/PCIe/PLL voltage can be set up to .3v higher as well.

Vcore can be increased by .6v over the default of your CPU.
