Performance Testing
To see how quick the performance of the SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC card is, we will be comparing it to a 2GB Class 6 ATP Pro Max II SDHC card and an older Kingston 2GB SD card.
Each Secure Digital card was tested using Sisoftware Sandra 2009 SP3 on our
office computer with the SanDisk ImageMate Multi-Card USB 2.0 Reader/Writer.

Using the Removable Storage Benchmark found in SiSoftware Sandra
2009 SP3 we were able to get a pretty good idea of the performance that
the cards offers with
various file sizes. As you can tell from the chart above, performance
generally increases as the file size goes up. The SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC easily beat the other two SD cards in all the tests!

Wanting to run another test on the 4GB SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC Flash card we ran the Flash Memory Toolkit v1.20 file benchmark. This
benchmark tests 1-5MB file sizes, and showed that the card did best in the 4MB file test with write
speed of 19.9MB/s and a read speed of 27.1MB/s. This card is very fast as you can see from the testing!
