Hybrid Crossfire

asus m3a78-t motherboard review

Just for kicks, we went out and bought an ATi 3450 card so we could try out the Hybrid Crossfire.

Now, this is not meant to be a Hybrid Crossfire review, so we are not spending much time with it.  We just wanted to see how it would work, and if games would be playable at the same setting we were using with the 9600GT card that we use in our testing.  Anyways, we would love to have more time to work with this, but for now we left all the settings as close to the same as we did with our 9600GT (we did have to lower texture settings in Company of Heroes to get it to run) and this is what we got.

We were actually surprised to see the IGP do so well, especially when you see it compared to the 3450 that we ran as well.  Of course, you can get better results by lowering all the details in the games, but we wanted to see how it scaled compared to the settings we used for the rest of our testing so you could get an idea of equal settings.  Hopefully we will be able to get a closer look at Hybrid Crossfire in the future to give it the time it deserves.
