PNY GeForce GTX 280

The PNY GeForce GTX 280 graphics card we are looking at today is part of the XLR8 series, which is performance oriented. The front of the retail box is nice and clean looking with nothing more than the model name on the front.

With the retail box seal cut, you’ll find two boxes inside along with a features card. The smaller top box contains the accessories while the larger lower container holds the graphics card along with the users guide and the driver disc.

The bundle of the PNY GeForce GTX 280 includes the quick start guide, the installation CD, a single dual-link DVI to VGA adaptor and the component video out adapter.

The PNY XLR8 GeForce GTX 280 is clearly based off the reference design and was identical in every way down to the BIOS and the clock frequencies.

The rear of the graphics card doesn’t have too much in terms of things to look at, but we bet you didn’t know it is held on by ten screws until just now!
The two GeForce GTX 280 graphics cards that we just presented are as different as night and day. One uses air cooling with reference clock frequencies and the other used water cooling with overclocking settings. Let’s take a look at the test system and see how they perform!
