Conclusion and Final Thoughts
This DDR kit from OCZ was just what we expected. OCZ has consistantly provided the comsumer with a quality built product that performs to the level that is advertised, and usually goes beyond that to give the enthusiast a great experience as he pushes his rig to the limits. OCZ has a great reputation when it comes to customer service and support, and gives this DDR a lifetime warranty that should give any consumer a peace of mind when it comes to their purchase.
The heatsink and heatpipe design seem to be effective, as they are both fairly warm when running massive amounts of juice through the sticks. Whether or not it actualy helped in our overclocking is hard to know, but certainly it did not hinder it.
At $275 shipped, the price falls right in the middle of other kits that are rated this speed at Newegg.
Legit Bottom Line If you are looking for a great set of DDR2 for your box, this OCZ 9200 Reaper would be a great addition. It performs average at DDR800 speeds, but increasing it to its rated DDR1150 and it just soars! On top of that, you get a little extra performance with the ability to overclock. The Reaper will be the death of your poor memory performance!
