The Tests: Overclocking
This being my first experience with a Conroe, I was very excited to get to the overclocking just to see what she could do, and I was not disappointed at all! Th e6600 that we have was able to do quite well, and especially considering we only took it up to a voltage of around 1.4v. As you can see from the following screenshot, we were able to reach an astounding FSB of 380, using a 9x multi, which gave us a to total speed of 3.42GHz! I was, and still am, amazed at what this chip was able to do on the DS3. Not only did we reach great levels of overclocking, we were also very pleased at the ease of overclockingon the Gigabyte board. If we went to far, the board would just reboot a time ir two and reset itself into the bios so we could make adjustments. We have not as of yet had to use the clear cmos one time! Thank you Gigabyte for amking a board that not only can overclock like a monster, but is rather easy to work with as you achieve those overclocking levels!

Editors Note By Nathan Kirsch: I also had the pleasure of trying this board out on the test bench before sending it to Jason for full testing and found out that it's overclocking is very good. I used an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 and was able to hit 440MHz with partial stability and 430MHz with full stability. Below is the screen shot of when I had the board and hit 440MHz on it at 1.5vCore. When it comes to overclocking this board is by far one of the best overclocking Intel 965P based boards on the market.

Let's go ahead and wrap things up!
