Corsair's TWINX2048-4000PT is based on Samsung's UCCC IC's.
Along with the lifetime warranty, Corsair also maintains its own support forum HERE. This is a great way to communicate with Corsair directly, and also a great way to work out any problems that you might have using a Corsair product.
As you can see from the specs of each of these kits, they really seem to be aimed at two different types of users. The 3500LL is a low latency product that at first glance would seem to be perfect for the mild overclocker, or the overclocker that uses a ram divider when overclocking. The 4000PT is a brutal set that is aimed at raw speed, sacrificing some latency in the process, but able to reach speeds that not too long ago took massive amounts of volts to get to, if even then! As an enthusiast, I do not think I have run my machine at a stock setting for normal use ever. So, while on the surface these modules may seem to be geared towards two different things, we decided to put them through the ringer and just see what we could get out of them.
