ASUS Radeon HD 6870 Video Card Packaging
As we all know, the better a product looks on the shelf, the more likely we are to buy it so a lot of video card manufacturers go out of their way to design packaging that not only protects the contents but is so visually appealing that it pops out at you while it sits on the store shelf waiting for you to pick it up. Here we can see the front of the box and it is visually striking with a winged warrior type scene as well as a handful of informational graphics that let you in on some of the specs of the card inside.
Now, as we flip the box around to the back we get a closer look at some of the features of the ASUS 6870 like the direct CU cooling solution and the Voltage Tweak.
A quick look at the top of the box lets us know what the product inside is.
And a look at the bottom of the box gives us a bit more information regarding the ASUS Radeon HD 6870, as well as the serial number and the model number.
Now let's move on to the good stuff, opening the box to see what we have inside. Once the box is open we can see that it contains another black box with the ASUS logo on the top of it.
Opening this inner box we can see that there is yet another black box with the ASUS logo on it that sits atop the actual video card itself.
Inside this much thinner box is all of the goodies that are included with the card otherwise known as the bundle.
Now we get to what we all came here for... the video card itself. Here we see that it packaged in a static bag that is safely nestled into a cardboard tray that keeps it from moving around during shipping and any handling it may run into.
As you can see, the ASUS Radeon HD 6870 Video Card is packaged very well in a very attractive box and the included bundle has pretty much everything you will need to connect your new video card to your computer. Here we can see the users manual, the driver disks, a six pin to two four pin molex adapter, an HDMI to DVI adapter, an analog to DVI connector and, of course, a Crossfire bridge so that you can connect more than one card.
