AS-SSD Synthetic Benchmark
We continue on with our battery of benchmarks.
AS-SSD (1.6.4013.39530) Benchmark - Intel P67 Platform
We have been running the AS-SSD Benchmark app for over some time now and found that it gives a broad result set. The programmer has worked very hard on this software and continues to make updates often so if you use it, show him some love and send him a donation. There are now three tests that are found within the tool and we'll show the results from all of them.
The Vertex 3 puts up scores very much like that of CrystalDiskMark and posts an overall score of 695 which is higher than any SATA based drive we've tested.
We haven't used this benchmark much in the past but we'll continue to use it going forward. Very solid scores here that we'll have fun trying to best with all the new drives this year. The compression test below is a brand new offering in the AS-SSD tool and shows the relationship between file compression and drive performance.
Benchmark Results: Reads are mostly unaffected by the level of compression but writes are obviously impacted significantly. The graph clearly shows the performance ramping up as the level of compression approaches 100%. Overall, excellent scores with better scores than that of the RevoDrive.
Now let's have a look at some real world tests.
