Motorola Raises the Bar on the Super Phone
So it's now Friday and we've covered NVIDIA's Tegra 2 along with LG's Optimus 2X version of it. Little did we know that Motorola was cooking up a monster with the Atrix 4G. Yes, it's a 4G phone and will be riding on AT&T's HSPA+ network. We're going to be a little brief here and let the videos do the talking for us.
Quite a powerful phone, similar in specs to the LG Optimus 2X as we can expect from NVIDIA Tegra 2 based devices. Now, on to the cool stuff. In the video below we get to see the impressive transformation of the Motorola Atrix 4G transform into a device that gives you a completely different experience.
Wow! With the webtop dock from Motorola your phone can double as a netbook, or mild mannered desktop. This is certainly something that other companies will need to take notice of as Motorola has raised the bar well above what many people have expected.
We also got our hands on the new Motorola Zoom which is an Android tablet running Honeycomb. It's also based on Tegra 2 and looks to be a great tablet. Check out the video below to get an idea of what it looks like.
Note that since Honeycomb is still very much in development there was not a lot that we could do with it. Still, there is a ton of potential and we are anxious to see the final implementation of the Motorola Zoom.
Stay tuned as we continue to bring you the latest from CES 2011.
