3DMark06 & 3DMark Vantage
3DMark Vantage is the new industry standard PC gaming performance benchmark from Futuremark, newly designed for Windows Vista and DirectX10. It includes two new graphics tests, two new CPU tests, several new feature tests, and support for the latest hardware. 3DMark Vantage is based on a completely new rendering engine, developed specifically to take full advantage of DirectX10, the new graphics API from Microsoft.
The Entry settings were used for testing, so a resolution of 1024x768 was used.
Here are the details of the GPU and CPU tests in case anyone was curious and wanted to take a closer look.
3DMark 06 is still a popular standard in advanced 3D game performance benchmarking and the latest version in the popular 3DMark series available to run on Windows XP. 3DMark06 tests include HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests, advanced SM2.0 graphics tests, AI and physics driven single and multiple cores or processor CPU tests and a collection of comprehensive feature tests to reliably measure gaming performance.
We fired up 3DMark06 and ran the standard benchmark on the Zacate E-350 APU with Radeon hD 6310 graphics.
We and found the graphics performance on the Brazos platform to be a respectable 2135 3DMarks as you can see from the shot above.
Here are the detailed test results in case you are curious what they look like or if you want to compare them to the performance numbers you get with your current laptop solution.
