Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum is an action-adventure stealth video game based on DC Comics' Batman for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It was developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive in conjunction with Warner Bros.

For our testing we set everything as high as it would go including Multi Sample Anti-Aliasing as we set that to 8x.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Benchmark Results

Benchmark Results: Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY edition was tough on the ASUS GeForce GT430 1GB DDR3 and the HIS Radeon HD 5570 512MB GDDR5 graphics cards. At a resolution of 1280x1024 both the Radeon and GeForce cards did decently for the image quality settings.  The HIS Radeon HD 5570 might have GDDR5 memory, but it doesn't have enough frame buffer to run at resolutions like 1920x1200. As you can see, performances fall flat at that resolution.  Just for fun we turned AA off and the ASUS GeForce GT 430 performance shot up to 62 FPS at 1280x1024 and 37 FPS at 1920x1200.  Like we mentioned in the introduction, these cards were designed to be run with the image quality cranked down a bit.  Unfortunately, all of our testing is done with the image quality testing cranked up. Our test results are going to punish these entry level cards, but the performance scaling in the charts will be correct.
