Final Thoughts and Conclusion

The HAF series of cases has been very popular for Cooler Master, and the new HAF 912 should add to that. For a $60 case the HAF 912 has a lot going for it. It has tons of space, configurable storage, and it lives up to the HAF name with numerous fan configuration options.
I think the HAF 912 will be a popular budget case. You get the look and feel of the higher end HAF cases, without the higher cost. As your budget allows you can also step up to more fans. With the pre-drilled hole pattern in the top of the case the step to water will be easier in that there is no modding involved to get the radiator mounted. I think the case mod crowd may like the HAF 912 as well as an inexpensive blank canvas that comes with the basics that they can then add specific fans they want.
Some may not like the fact that the HAF 912 is stripped down with the lack of fans and the non painted interior. The only cases I could think of that are close to the same price of the HAF 912 and had more fans and the painted interior were the Cooler Master 690 II Basic and the Thermaltake V6 BlacX. Both of those are not as configurable as the HAF 912. The only other thing I can think of that might be a deal breaker for some is the 7+1 arrangement for the expansion slots, but honestly if you’re running triple SLI, or even quad SLI, then you’re not looking at this range of case. That’s where the HAF X level of case comes into play.

With the Cooler Master HAF 912 enthusiast PC case coming out at the $60 mark it makes the case more than affordable for the masses. You also get a very nice feature set right out of the box that allows the case to grow with your system and your needs. Costing almost half what its closest sibling does the HAF 912 will be a great fit for just about any level of user. The official launch date is the 14th of September, and at that time the HAF 912 will be available on e-tail and retail outlets.

Legit Bottom Line: Cooler Master’s new budget HAF case is great entry level case that can grow without the end user killing the wallet in the process. If you’re in the market for a good case at a great price, the HAF 912 should be at the top of the short list.
