V3 Move 3DS System Review

Today we have the opportunity to look at another complete system. This particular system comes from V3 Gaming. The system that we are going to look at is the V3 Gaming Move 3DS, which just happens to be a small form factor 3D Vision ready system. When the V3 Gaming Move 3DS was designed, it wasn't designed for ultimate power. It was designed to be compact and give a gaming experience that is enjoyable. When it comes to being compact it most certainly achieved that goal. The question of today, though, is how well does it game? Take a peek at the specifications of the V3 Gaming Move 3DS below and we will continue below that.

It has been proven time and time again that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 is a beast of a card and has tons of head room for overclocking. The only part of the V3 Gaming Move 3DS that concerns me is the Intel Core I3 540. Personally, I would have liked to have seen a bit more power in the CPU department; fortunately for us V3 Gaming offers a free overclocking service which has been used for this system. The Intel Core I3 540 has an out-of-the-box speed of 3.06GHz. After V3 Gaming has played with if for a bit, the Intel Core I3 540 is now chugging along at a speedy 3.82GHz. That is nearly a 25% increase in speeds. Although, as I said above, the V3 Gaming Move 3DS isn't designed to be a super computer, but more speed never hurt anyone!

V3 Move 3DS Windows Experience Rating

The overall Windows 7 Experience Rating is 5.9. It is being held back by the hard drive and the memory, both of which have a rating of 5.9. The Intel Core I3 540 at 3.82GHz has a calculations per second rating of 7.2, while both of the graphics scores are sitting pretty at 7.4. The Windows 7 Experience Rating bases the overall score on the lowest subset score. Not a lot of people put much stock in the Window Experience Rating, though it can give you a general idea of what the V3 Gaming Move 3DS is capable of. Once upon a time a rating of 5.9 was the cat's meow. Now it's not as great as it could be, but it's still a solid rating for what it's worth.
