Corsair A70 Benchmarking Results
With the system running at stock speeds the A70 is doing very well running at 56.25*C. On the high setting it is only 1.5 degrees behind the massive Noctua NH-D14 and the Cooler Master V6GT, as well as being on par with the Noctua NH-U12P SE2. With the A70 running on low it drops back 1.5 degrees to 57.75*C, but is still a very nice 16.25 degrees cooler than the stock Intel cooler.
With the system pushed up to 3.5GHz the heat goes up and the A70 is still doing very well, running at 63*C when running on high, only .75 degrees behind the NH-D14 and running neck and neck with the V6GT, but running much quieter. With the A70 in low speed mode the temp only rose 1 degree this time, rising to 64*C, just shy of a full 20 degrees cooler than the stock Intel heatsink.
With our system pushed to 3.8GHz the A70 is still performing nicely. Running at 78.50*C on high it is running 2 degrees warmer than the V6GT and the NH-D14. Oddly enough, with the system running at 3.8GHz at 78.50*C it is only 4.5 Degrees warmer than the 74*C temp the stock Intel cooler has at the 2.66GHz stock settings.
