The Apple iPhone 4 Arrives Early
Apple and AT&T must have realized that waiting to deliver the iPhone 4 on launch day was going to cause an activation nightmare for their customers and as such has allowed shipping companies to deliver them as they arrive. There is also speculation that FedEx just wouldn't be able to handle the volume of deliveries all on the 24th. We were lucky enough to get one this afternoon, so we figured the least that we could do is give you a sneak peak at our Apple iPhone 4 32GB black that we pre-ordered. If you pre-ordered you will likely get it a day or two early as well.
The retail packaging is rather large and factory sealed. Apple has always excelled with their product presentation and the iPhone 4 is no exception.
The back of the box talks about what is inside and as you can see our includes the iPhone 4, Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic, Dock Connection to USB Cable and USB Power Adapter.
Finally, the new iPhone 4 comes out of the box and can be seen and touched for the very first time! Right off the bat we could tell that it was thinner and sleeker than the iPhone 3G that we will be replacing. The iPhone 4 has a new engineered glass screen that is comprised of two glossy panels of aluminosilicate glass (a.k.a. "Gorilla Glass") — the same type of glass used in the windshields of helicopters and high-speed trains. Chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic, the glass is ultra-durable and more scratch resistant than ever. It’s also recyclable for those that want to be green friendly.
