A Look Inside The ECS HQ
Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has been designing and manufacturing computer motherboards since 1987. Today, the company also designs and manufactures desktop PCs, notebooks, servers, video cards, wireless solutions and handheld devices for manufacturers and distributors worldwide. On our visit to Taiwan this month we had a couple hours of free time before our flight home and asked ECS if we could randomly stop by for a quick tour of their new building that just opened in 2008.
Housed in Taipei Neihu Technology Park, the headquarters of ECS resides right on Tiding Blvd and has great views of the Keelung River since the building has 24 floors (20 above ground and 4 below). The building is 97 meters high and ranks the 2nd highest building in the
Neihu Technology Park district. It is also one of the most
significant landmarks in the park as it easily stands taller than other buildings by Foxconn or Lite-On.
They courtyard has exquisite gardens and the designs were very nice. In fact this little garden in the circle drive reminded us of tessellation with the way the stone work was done.
After gawking at the 20 story tall glass building and putting out of cigarette we went into the lobby where we briefly got stopped by security since we weren't on the visitor list due to our impromptu visit.
After looking at what we believed was a proverb that we couldn't read and gawking at the huge marble lobby we headed to the elevators to go check out some hardware!
