Temperature Testing

Temperature is always a concern when it comes to computer hardware. The higher the temperature of each component, the more it can contribute to the heating up of other components. Unfortunately, it is a vicious cycle. In order to heat up the graphics cards we are going to fire up Ozone's 3D Furmark 1.8.2 and let it run for 15 minutes.

After at least 15 minutes of running Furmark, the EVGA GeForce GTX 465 was the only card to break 90 degrees. Surprisingly the XFX Radeon HD 5830 wasn't far from the 90 degree mark, it was running at 88 degrees Celsius. Since the XFX Radeon HD 5830 does heat up this much, I would have liked to see the hot air being blown out of the case. Unfortunately the design of the cooler only circulates the inside the case instead of blowing it out through the expansion slots as the Batmobile cooler does.
