MSI Big Bang XPower Bios

Once I had all the components installed into the MSI Big Bang XPower I fired it up and loaded the bios. The MSI Big Bang XPower has a fairly common layout. That's not going to stop us from taking a look at some of the pages, though.

The standard CMOS features page allows you to set your system date and time and also shows you which devices are currently connected.

On the Advanced BIOS Features page you can change your boot sequence along with several other settings.

The Integrated Peripherals page allows you to enable or disable any of the onboard features.

The hardware monitor section of the BIOS is a page I will always visit to ensure that the CPU cooler is installed properly to avoid the system overheating during regular usage.

Under the Green Power page you can set the phase control of the CPU, QPI, IOH, and DDR. You can also disable the Phase control LED's on the motherboard if you choose.

The BIOS Setting password is where you can set a password for either a supervisor or a user.

The Cell menu is one of the more important pages of an enthusiast motherboard such as the MSI Big Bang XPower. This page contains all of the settings necessary to overclock your system.

Scrolling down in the Cell Menu you can change all the settings that will affect your memory and QPI speeds.

The final section of the Cell Menu has all the voltage adjustments. These are all of the maximum voltages prior to flipping any of the switches on the motherboard that will give you more voltage.

The M-Flash page allows you to flash your BIOS to the latest version via a USB Flash drive.
