Power Consumption Testing

To test the power consumption, the test bench was plugged into a P3 Kill-A-Watt. Idle power consumption was taken 15 minutes after logging into Windows 7 with no other programs running. The load tests were done running FurMark 1.80 with a resolution of 1280x1024. This was more than enough to bring the load on the GPU's to 100%.

Benchmark Results: Idle power consumption is right on par with all of the other high performance graphics cards. I will admit though, the differences between the EVGA GeForce GTX 465 and the Galaxy GeForce GTX 465 were a bit surprising. Despite having a higher clock speed the EVGA pulled slightly less under a full load. At idle however, the Galaxy GeForce GTX 465 pulled less power. SLI power consumption was a massive 605 Watts under a full load, but only 185 Watts at idle.
