Benchmark Results: The Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB SSD excels in HD Tune Pro 4.01 in both the read test and the write test. The average read speed was found to be 308MB/s with an average write speed of 193MB/s.  The read and write tests had an access time of 0.1ms.

HD Tune Random Access Benchmark Results

Comparison Chart: When comparing the Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB SSD to the competition, it once again dominates in the read tests and comes just behind the OCZ Vertex 2 Pro and Vertex LE 100GB SSDs. We expected the RealSSD C300 to have a great burst speed since it is being tested on the SATA 6Gbps controller, but that wasn't the case according to this benchmark.

64MB File Test

Benchmark Results: Running the built-in file benchmark test in HD Tune 4.01 showed once again just how the drive performs with various file sizes. This test shows the Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB SSD topping out at nearly 385MB/sec in the read test and 205MB/sec in the write test. These are the highest read numbers that we have ever seen in the HD Tune file benchmark test!
