Bundle and BIOS
The Intel DP55KG comes with six SATA cables, an SLI bridge the rear I/O shield, a quickstart guide, a bluetooth antennae and the driver/app CD.
The Intel DP55WG comes with four SATA cables, an SLI bridge, the rear I/O shield, a quickstart guide and the driver/app CD.
The BIOS was the same for both boards. Not all features are available on the DP55WG, although you see the same options. Let's take a look and see what we get.

The main page...

The configuration page allows you to make changes for on-board devices, SATA drives and a few other things.

It is also where you can monitor temps and fan speeds.

On-board devices setup...

SATA options...

The performance page is where all of the main options for tweaking a system exist. Intel never has really had all the tweaks that many other companies have had, but there is enough here to get some good results, as you will see. You can also see an option here called Intel Turbo Boost Technology. We will talk a bit more about this in the overclocking section.

FSB goes up to 240.

CPU overrides...

Vcore can be selected up to an insane 2.3v!

Memory configuration...

Vdimm goes all the way up to 2.0v. The warning for the i5 CPU is not to go over 1.65v or you risk damaging the processor.

Uncore voltage tops out at 1.8v.

PHC voltage goes to 1.5v.

Power options...

Finally, boot settings.
That is it for the BIOS!
