HD Tune v3.50

HD Tune Pro 3.50 is an extended version of HD Tune which includes many new features such as write benchmark, secure erasing, AAM setting, folder usage view, disk monitor, command line parameters and file benchmark.

SATA II 3.0GB/s Performance:

SATA III 6.0GB/s Performance:

HD Tune 3.50 Benchmark Results

Benchmark Results: The Seagate XT hard drive doesn't appear to get any performance boot in HT Tune in any area other than burst in the read test. A burst rate of 1,912.9 MB/s is nothing to sneeze at, though.

SATA II 3.0GB/s Performance:

SATA III 6.0GB/s Performance:

HD Tune 3.50 Benchmark Results

Benchmark Results: The read test showed that the write-cache was enabled due to the spike shown in the screen shot above.  The burst rate of 1,718.8 MB/s made the 95.6 MB/s result on the other SATA header seem like a joke.
