In Win and Killer NIC
In Win was at Quakecon 2009 with a booth jam packed full of gaming hardware. In Win had the entire Commander Series of power supplies on display. These power supplies come in 650W, 750W, 850W, 1200W and 1500W. They have an efficiency of up to 88% and come with a three year warranty.
They were also showing off the Destiny-Extreme Series Maelstrom gaming chassis, which is the case pictured above. This case is a full tower and works with both E-ATX and ATX motherboards. The case has a steel reinforced structure and a total of six 12cm ceramic fans and one 22cm ceramic fan.
The case is water cooling ready, has acoustic absorption on the inside and uses thumb screws in locations that you need to work with. Not a bad looking case and the paint job that you see in the image above is how they come out of the factory.
In Win was also showing off this innovative Ammo 2.5" External SATA drive enclosure that uses an USB 2.0 interface to connect to computers for external storage. The drive has obviously been fashioned after an ammunition cartridge even features a military standard MIL-STD 810F approval, which means that it passes the anti-vibration test used by the military. In Win said that this can be dropped from a height of 150cm and the hard drive is still well protected. The last cool feature on this enclosure is the fact that it is fitted with an RFID tag that is unlocked by passing a dog tag key across the front of the device as shown in the picture above. This is a pretty interesting drive that you don't see every day.
The guys from Killer NIC were at Quakecon 2009 showing of the Xeno Pro network card for those looking to offload their networking to this dedicated card that can be easily added to most desktop computers.
