HD Tune v3.50
HD Tune Pro 3.50 is an extended version of HD Tune which includes many new features such as write benchmark, secure erasing, AAM setting, folder usage view, disk monitor, command line parameters and file benchmark.

Benchmark Results: The Intel X25-M 'G2' 34nm 160GB MLC SSD does great again in HD Tune Pro 3.50 in both the read and write tests. The spikes in the write benchmark look strange, but the average is 81.1MB/s, which is right where it should be as Intel rates the drives write speed at 80MB/s. After all is said and done, the average read speed was found to be 222.6MB/s with a write speed of 81.1MB/s. Both tests had an access time of 0.1ms and a CPU usage of ~2%.

Comparison Chart: When comparing the Intel X25-M 'G2' 34nm 160GB MLC SSD to other popular 2.5-inch hard drives like the Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500GB and the Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB, you can see that it clearly beats them in all the tests other than the burst speed. The Intel X25-M 'G2' 34nm 160GB MLC SSD was not significantly faster than the Kingston SSDNow M 80GB (Gen 1 Intel X25-M) SSD as both traded blows in the benchmark. The Intel X25-M 'G2' 34nm 160GB MLC SSD did become the drive with the fastest read speed that we have ever seen.
64MB File Test

Benchmark Results: Running the built-in file benchmark test in HD Tune showed once again just how the drive performs with various file sizes. This test shows the Intel X25-M 'G2' 34nm 160GB MLC SSD topping out at nearly 235MB/sec in the read tests and 95MB/sec in the write test.
