The retail packaging for the ECS Z97-PK Deluxe motherboard provides the information necessary to make an informed decision. With a bright orange and blue color scheme, it shouldn’t have any problem standing out from the crowd, should you happen to find it in a retail setting. The front provides very little information, basically just identifying the Intel socket and chipset that is on the motherboard.
Turning the retail box over, the key features of ECS Z97-PK Deluxe is listed. On the right half, ECS has detailed twelve of the key key features, while on the left side a view of the motherboard, and it’s specifications are listed.
Opening the box, the first thing we find are the bundled accessories. Here ECS has included two SATA cables, the standard motherboard I/O port key, a user manual, driver/software CD and a quick start guide.
Once the bundled accessories are taken out of the box, we can get the first view of the motherboard, which is loose in the bottom of the box. To help protect the motherboard, it has been placed in an anti-static bag for shipping. This is a very common method of packing motherboards.
