Storage Performance

All storage performance will be done utilizing the latest version of CrystalDiskMark x64. When testing a specific device, it will be formatted prior to testing, with the system being rebooted between each test run. To test the SATA connection, we will use the SanDisk Ultra II 480GB SSD, with a rated speed of 550MB/s Sequential Read and 500MB/s Sequential Write. Testing the M.2 interface, a HyperX Predator 240GB drive will be used, with its rated speeds of 1400MB/s Sequential Read and 600MB/s Sequential Write. The final test will be done on the USB 3.1 connection which will be tested using a USB 3.0 hard drive dock and the SanDisk Ultra II SSD.
