The retail packaging for the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK is kept pretty low key, at least from a graphics stand point. There’s no flashy colors, scantily clad women, simply the product name and a small handful of details. Outside of the GIGABYTE branding and the board name, the only features mentioned are the line about ‘168 hour server level durability tested’ and the LGA1150 along the bottom edge of the packaging.
As with many of the high end motherboards out there, the packaging for the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK opens up to reveal the board inside.
The inside of the front cover for the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK breaks down some of the G1 key features. Among these features are the 4-way graphics support, solid capacitors, high end Creative Sound Core3D, swappable OP-Amp technology, and the networking capabilities of the wired and wireless LAN.
The back of the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK lists out some of the same features as the inside, but it also covers the layout of the motherboard and I/O panel.
Once the outer shell of the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK has been removed, we are left with a much more durable packaging within. This layer of protection will protect your investment during the hazards of shipping.
Removing the tray and the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK we find the bundle packed underneath. First thing that stands out is the Certificate of Unmatched Stability and Reliability.
The Certificate of Unmatched Stability and Reliability is letting us know that the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK that came with this certificate has passed a 7 day system validation and has been signed off on by Kevin Meng. Dr. Kevin Meng is the Manufacturing Business Unit Vice President and General manager at GIGABYTE. From what I’ve been told, the burn in period add’s about twenty bucks to the cost of the board, but it would be welcomed to not have a board DOA.
The bundle that comes with the GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WiFi-BK has plenty of accessories for it. In addition to the usual manuals and driver disc, there is a WiFi card, antenna, 3 pairs of SATA III 6Gbps cables, 3-Way SLI bridge, 4-Way SLI bridge, 2-Way SLI bridge, CrossFire bridge, case badges, I/O shield, 3.5″ USB 3.0 front panel adapter, and the ‘Certificate of Unmatched Stability and Reliability’.
