ECS kept the retail packaging for the GANK Drone Z87H3-A3X nice and simple. On the front of the package we have the name of the board, the L337 Gaming tag, and a few of the technical details about the board. The one detail that caught my eye, or rather didn’t catch my eye was the brand. ECS left their name off of the front of the package, I’m not sure why they did this and I will leave that speculation to you!
Flipping the GANK Drone Z87H3-A3X packaging over, there is no shortage of details about the board. In the upper right hand corner ECS placed their logo, I almost missed it when I first got the Drone in my hands.
Opening up the cover of the Drone packaging there is a second layer of cardboard to protect the Z87H3-A3X, this one is branded with the L337 Gaming logo and the Battle Ready slogan in the corner.
Lifting the previous layer of cardboard we can catch our first glimpse of the GANK Drone Z87H3-A3X, albeit obscured by a protective anti-static bag.
The bundle that accompanies the GANK Drone Z87H3-A3X is just kinda floating around in the bottom of the box, fortunately the PCB is separated from the bundle by a layer of cardboard to protect it.
The bundle that comes with the GANK Drone Z87H3-A3X is light compared to many that we have seen, but keep in mind that the Drone is an entry level board that doesn’t carry a hefty price tag and is expected to retail at only $119.99. Keeping the costs down by trimming the bundle to only the essentials is a necessary evil.
