Fall IDF 2007 – Intel DX38BT ‘BoneTrail’ Motherboard Preview

Last year I was able to post up the first pictures of the Intel D975XBX2 ‘Bad Axe 2’ motherboard in action and this year I was able to do the same with the Intel DX38BT ‘BoneTrail’ motherboard. IDF Fall 2007 – DDR3 Memory Modules All Around

IDF – Hot Gaming Notebooks Get Air Conditioning

The Dell M1710 notebook always got warm while gaming, but now that Intel has released the Core 2 Extreme Mobile Processor X7800 Processor and has embraced overclocking things have gotten a bit too hot. With processors ‘throttling’ while overclocked, something needed to be done, so Intel and Embarco teamed up to produce a docking station that is like a small air conditioner.

AMD Responds to IDF with YouTube Videos

Every year at the Intel Developer Forum, the folks from AMD have a limo sitting just outside the show floor to let select press members escape from the dog and pony show to come see what AMD is up to. It seems this tradition has ended as AMD responded to the Intel keynote by Intel CEO Paul Ottelini this morning via a YouTube video.

Fall IDF 2007 – Intel X38 and 45nm Yorkfield Overclocking

IDF officially opens today, and Legit Reviews has spotted some Intel X38 Express and 45nm quad-core Yorkfield overclocking that was too good to pass up. Intel has overclocked a 3GHz 45nm Yorkfield processor to over 3.8GHz with nothing more than air cooling, which is a good sign for gamers and enthusiasts that have been waiting on the 45nm processors to arrive.
