Final Thoughts and Conclusions
All in all the Cooler Master MasterPulse Pro Headset lived up to the quality and comfort you would expect from a headset that costs nearly $100. Right now you can buy a pair for $99.99 shipped on Newegg or $109.99 shipped on Amazon. This headset was built to last and provide you with many hours of gaming enjoyment and provides the extreme comfort needed for those long gaming sessions. I was easily able to wear the MasterPulse Pro Headset for hours without any discomfort. i think the longest session I had was around 5 hours and I had very little discomfort. I attribute this to the the soft comfortable ear cups as well as the heavily padded headband that just seems to float on your head.
Although I had a problem with the flat cable and it’s rubberized coating as well as the size of the control module. The inability to disconnect everything so that I could use and test the headset on my ASUS Xonar sound card was a bummber, but I am not going to knock it for those features as most don’t have that setup. I just hope that Cooler Master will make some changes to these small but important parts of the Master Pulse Pro Headset down the road. If these were already implemented I would have no problem giving the Master Pulse Pro the Editors Choice Award, but in all honesty I cannot. I really wanted the music output of this headset to be as good as the gaming and movie output, but it just wasn’t there compared to the other headset and headphones I compared it with.
I have to say that I really enjoyed testing and reviewing the MasterPulse Pro’s and they will remain as a top contender in my rotation of gaming headsets now and in the future. The lighting effects are cool and having the ability to match your headset lighting with that of your gaming rig is awesome. I just wish I had the software that would allow me to explore the more advanced features of the lighting effects.
The Cooler Master MasterPulse Pro is a killer headset made by a company that is very well known for their quality and attention to detail. Keep up the great work and I look forward to what you guys have for us in the future.
Legit Bottom Line:
The Cooler Master Master Pulse Pro Headset performed above and beyond as a gaming headset as well as with movies, although it fell a bit short in the music category I find it hard to knock it as it is a headset made for gaming. There could be some improvements made to the cable and the placement and size of the control unit, but I truly enjoyed reviewing the MasterPulse Pro and as I mentioned I will continue to use the MasterPulse Pro’s on a regular basis.
