Once again utilizing CrystalDiskMark we will analyze the performance of the Kingston HyperX 3K SSD using the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 bus with a Thermaltake BlacX 5G.

Benchmark Results: SuperSpeed USB 3.0 read speed comes in a little faster on the Z97X-UD3H-BK on one of the Z97 test systems, but a little slower than the other Z97 system. While the write speed was slower across the board. Does this mean the USB 3.0 connection is slow? Certainly not, the little difference between the Z97 boards is minimal, and I’m sure would change if we continued to test.
