PC Chassis come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, styles, price ranges, and with just about anything you may need. Much of it depends on what you want out of the case and what you want to spend on a case. Features should be price dependent, but quality shouldn’t be. Today Legit Reviews has the opportunity to look at a new case from Corsair, the Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition. The Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition is a very budget friendly case retailing for only $59.99! The Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition is also available in a little less silent version for around only $49.99.
The two chassis have a couple of differences, the most obvious is the windowed side panel, the Carbide 100R Silent Edition lacks the window. Without the window, the Silent Edition can take advantage of sound dampening material on the panel, helping to make it silent. Another difference is the top of the Carbide 100R has been cutout for a pair of exhaust fans, the 100R Silent Edition doesn’t have any cutouts and also has the sound dampening material.
The Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition comes packed inside a very durable box to protect it during it’s travels. The first side of the packaging has some of the marketing text about the Silent Edition case, as well as the usual product name and branding.
The back of the product packaging for the Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition goes into the details about it in six different languages. It shows off the outside dimensions of the Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition as well. The 100R Silent Edition measures 471mm x 200mm x 430mm. For those of us that don’t use the metric system that’s 18.54″ x 7.87″ x 16.93″, it’s a pretty decent size for a mid tower chassis.
