ADATA XPG Spectrix D40 16GB RGB DDR4 Memory Review

AIDA64 Extreme Edition and Sisoftware Sandra

AIDA64 and SiSoftware Sandra are two industry standard benchmarks that include multiple tests to benchmark nearly every component of your system. As we are looking at memory today, we will focus on their memory benchmarks. Both applications will provide a good idea of the performance capabilities, however they look at two different aspects. In both tests, the higher the score the better the performance.

AIDA64

Benchmark Results: AIDA64 is showing that the faster clock speed of the Spectrix D40 is beneficial for the Read and Write tests, but the looser timings hurts the Copy score. Looking at the Kingston Predator and the ADATA XPG Spectrix, we can see that when the speed and timings are the same, the Spectrix D40 still outperforms the Predator memory by a little. Finally, as you would expect when we overclocked the Spectrix D40 memory kit, we saw a significant boost in scores compared to the stock speeds.

SiSoftware Sandra

Benchmark Results: The ADATA XPG Spectrix D40 scored lower than the HyperX Predator 3000MHz. As we saw the memory speeds increase, we saw a nice jump in performance in SiSoftware Sandra, with the ADATA XPG Spectrix D40 getting a nice boost in performance compared to it’s stock performance.
