Looking closer at the True Spirit

Thermalright True Spirit

If youre a fan of Thermalright you will see the heritage of the True Spirit just by looking at it. The True Spirit shares a similar fin shape and winglet design of the ever popular Ultra 120 or TRUE some call it.

Thermalright True Spirit

The True Spirit has 48 aluminum fins on four 6mm copper heatpipes.

Thermalright True Spirit

Each fin is bent into the proprietary winglet design. This design helps to minimize air resistance between the fins.

Thermalright True Spirit

Looking at the top the fin profile is almost identical to the Cogage True Spirit. The difference is in the area where the fan clips attach.

Thermalright True Spirit

The lower part of the True Spirit also follows the design of the original Ultra-120. The big difference is the number of heatpipes and they are bare copper.

Thermalright True Spirit

The base is smooth with a slightly raised center. The finish of the base is not the best, but it is smooth.

Thermalright True Spirit

The fan included with the True Spirit is a transparent amber colored 120mm PWM fan. The fan operates at 1000~1500 RPM @ 19.6~37.4 dBA.
