Installation

The PURE comes with everything you need to install the cooler on either an AMD or Intel system.

The installation onto the motherboard was easy, and even though it required removal of the motherboard it was simple. The system consists of a hex shape stud that is attached to the motherboard with a screw and nylon washers.

Then, to hold the heat exchanger to the CPU there are two metal strips that form an X across the top to hold it in place. These are attached to the mounting studs with thumb screws. To make it easier, it is best to install these prior to mounting the main unit to the back of the case.

You also might want to take notice of your power connectors; depending on how your case is arranged it could be quite interesting to reach them once everything is in place.

Then, all that is left to do is to mount the main unit in place of your rear 120mm exhaust fan. There is no need to worry about filling or bleeding the system as it is a sealed loop and is filled and leak tested. Still, I stayed close with some paper towels when I first turned the unit on because you never know.
