760-mars-breakdown

How well does the ASUS MARS 760 overclock? We were wondering the same thing, so let’s take a look at how far we can push this card.

ASUS MARS 760 Overclock

The ASUS MARS 760 comes clocked at 1006MHz on the core, 1072MHz Boost and 1502MHz on the memory. Were able to get the ASUS MARS 760 up to 1131MHz Core, 1197MHz boost and 1560MHz on the 4GB of GDDR5 memory. This is a 125MHz increase on the core and boost clocks and 58MHz on the memory. Not a bad overclock for a dual-GPU card like this! When gaming we saw both GPUs running at 1241.1MHz.

After our overclock we were able to get a score of 10,037 3DMarks. This is an improvement of 718 points or 7.7% from this pretty decent overclock. We also tried out this overclock on Bioshock Infinite and found that at 2560×1600 the average FPS score went from 90.82 FPS up to 97.82 FPS. This is a 7 FPS increase and it also just happens to be a 7.7% performance improvement, so one can expect around an 8% performance benefit from overclocking the ASUS MARS 760 video card without tinkering with voltages or modifying the cooling solution or adjusting any fan speeds.
