Final Thoughts and Conclusion

SteelSeries Heroes of the Storm Gaming Mouse and QcK MousepadThe SteelSeries Heroes of the Storm mouse is derived from the Sensei RAW mouse which we have not previously reviewed. This mouse seemed and felt like it was sculpted to be flexible in how it can be held. Its domed shape fits the palm nicely and at the same time, the low height easily allows one to grasp the mouse with a claw grip. The symmetrical ambidextrous design makes the Heroes of the Storm mouse suitable for both right-handed and left-handed mouse users at the drawback of limited ergonomic support under the fourth finger and pinkie when held in the palm. We found using the claw grip to be more comfortable and more effective at controlling the mouse.SteelSeries Heroes of the Storm Gaming Mouse

The Heroes of the Storm mouse is quite showy with its blue lines and bright glowing logo. That’s going to put off some people especially those with a preference for a more streamlined looking mouse. It’s more suitable for those going with a blue and purple theme or a Heroes of the Storm collection. For the latter, SteelSeries also has the QcK Heroes of the Storm cloth mousepad which looks awesome even if you don’t care much for the game. The dark purple and blue colors in the artwork printed on the smooth microfiber surface give an almost iridescent, almost metallic shine.SteelSeries Heroes of the Storm Gaming Mouse and QcK Mousepad

When bought from Amazon as the seller, the Heroes of the Storm gaming mouse costs $52.60 and the QcK Heroes of the Storm mousepad is $14.99. The Sensei RAW is selling for $46.99, around $5 less which isn’t bad if you like how the Heroes of the Storm Gaming Mouse looks. We also appreciate the flexibility this mouse provides. It can be held palm or claw, though the latter is preferred. Its ambidextrous design, down to the opposite sets of thumb buttons makes this an option for left-handed mouse users. The software provides lots of control and it’s easy to use. The problem is in the ergonomic design where there’s a lack of specialization and thus there are better mice specific for palm or claw. Yet, if you’re looking for a symmetrical ambidextrous gaming mouse, SteelSeries’ Heroes of the Storm mouse and by extension the Sensei RAW are high up on our list.

Legit Bottom Line: The SteelSeries Heroes of the Storm mouse is a stylized rendition of the Sensei RAW mouse, itself a great ambidextrous gaming mouse.
