Inside the LCD Display Unit

The LCD Display Unit is sized to fit in a 5.25 Bay. Its held together by two screws at the top, that once removed, gives you easy access to the internals of the unit. Below is a view of the front of the display unit.

From left to right you see two connectors and a small internal speaker. The two connectors control the display of the fan speed and information from the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor detects the current operating temperature of the TEC and not the the actually temperature of the CPU. The internal speaker sounds if your temperature climbs too high. Don’t be fooled by the speakers sized, the alarm was audible throughout the house.

Below you see the back side of the LCD Display Unit.

As you can see the back of the device is pretty simple, just extensions of the connectors from the inputs on the back of the device. Power is converted from the Molex and fed to the connectors and to the front parts of the device.

Alright enough talk about the device, lets get some performance numbers!
