The NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV console has shown on up Amazon! No price is listed, but there are all sorts of images of the the SHIELD console that we’ve been talking about for months. It appears that there will be two versions available at launch as Amazon has a SHIELD and SHIELD Pro listing shown. No pricing is up yet, but it appears that the SHIELD 16GB Android TV will be the lowest priced offering and then there will be the SHIELD Pro 500GB Android TV will be the premium sku with a large 500GB storage drive included.along with the SHIELD controller and HDMI cable.

Amazon has the features of the NVIDIA SHIELD and SHIELD Pro being:

NVIDIA SHIELD Pro Specs

They also have a comparison chart up showing how the NVIDIA SHIELD Pro is has more robust features and performance than the Amazon Fire TV, Roku 3 and Apple TV. The Amazon listing says that the NVIDIA SHIELD has 25 times the performance of Roku 3 on the GFXBench T-Rex Benchmark. The release date on Amazon is June 1st, 2015, so it doesn’t appear that we will have to wait much longer for the console to come out! Hopefully it’s priced around $299 and we can’t wait to see how the this device will allow us to watch our favorite shows in 4K and play game titles!
