The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 448 Cores has proven to be a very interesting graphics card from both a price and performance perspective. This card performs nearly the same as a GeForce GTX 570, but costs significantly less. In some of the games we tested the overclocked MSI N560GTX-448 Power Edition actually performed better than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 reference design card, which was impressive even though the results were within the margin of error.

This morning we looked at Newegg to see how this card would fit in the current NVIDIA lineup and this is what we found. The prices below are based on the lowest priced card for each series on Newegg and the price includes rebates and shipping.

As you can see the standard GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Core has an MSRP of $289.99 and is roughly $90 more than a GeForce GTX 560 Ti and $35 less than a GeForce GTX 570. The MSI N560GTX-448 has an estimated MSRP of $309.99 due to the extra features that it has.

The MSI N560GTX-448 Power Edition graphics card proved to be a well designed card and should be on the short list of GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 core video cards that you are looking to buy. The factory overclock along with the Twin Frozr III GPU cooler and fan profile switch are a nice touch. MSI has really stepped up their game on the video card side of things and this is another example of the companies progress.

NVIDIA has tens of thousands of these cards shipping to various locations around the world and while that may sound like a bunch, it really isn’t that many at all. NVIDIA won’t say the exact number of cards that will be released, but they did say that the supply should last 1-2 months. This is a limited edition card, so if you want to buy one you better do it sooner rather than later. If you plan on running SLI you should also buy one as NVIDIA said you can’t SLI the GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 448 Cores to a GeForce GTX 570 or a regular GeForce GTX 560 Ti.

At the end of the day you have a new video card available for the holiday gaming season that is going to appeal to those that want a GeForce GTX 570, but don’t want to pay that much. This is an opportunity to save a few bucks and get a card that performs nearly the same. If you overclock it then you’ll have a card that is much faster than the GeForce GTX 570 for a fraction of the price!
