Comparing the Core i7 920 to the Core 2 Q9450, two processors that share the exact same clock speeds, it is easy to see where the gains come from. The largest gains that we see come from applications that make use of multiple CPU cores, like Cinebench and POV Ray. With 4 physical and 4 virtual CPU’s, the Core i7 920 can really stretch its legs and the ASUS P6T Deluxe is doing a great job of tuning the memory performance.
