ASRock X58 Extreme3 Box and Bundle

ASRock X58 Extreme3 Packaging
The front of the ASRock X58 Extreme3 is dressed up in a holographic pattern (tough to photograph) that grabs your attention inside your local computer store that carries high end hardware. Also adorning the front of the box is the marketing text that gives you the key features of the board without having to pick it up and read it. Key features like USB3.0, SATA3, and E-SATA3 are highlighted here.

The back of the box is not lacking in the marketing text in the least. There is quite a bit of it, but it is well organized and easy to read.

The top of the box is rather uneventful with the exception of a handle.

The sides of the box aren’t very exciting either.

ASRock X58 Extreme3 Bundle
The bundle that comes with the ASRock X58 Extreme3 isn’t as bloated as some seem to be. All you get are your basics that are needed. One thing that I wouldn’t have minded seeing in the bundle is a triple SLI bridge for those that run three NVIDIA cards; granted, you can find those on the web for around ten bucks. Included in the bundle are several pieces of software. All the software is from PowerLink: Power2go 6.1 LE OEM, MediaShow 4.1 SE OEM, and trials of PowerDVD 8.0 DTS, PowerDirector 8.0, PowerBackup 2.5, and Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB. Enough with the appetizers, let’s move on to the main course: the ASRock X58 Extreme3 board itself!
