Unreal Engine 3 Coming to the Web!

By

It took only 4 days for the engineering teams at Mozilla and Epic to port the Unreal Engine 3 to the web! If you’re counting, that’s over a million lines of code. While this project may still be in the early stages, this could be the future of gaming. Instead of having to run the Unreal Engine 3 locally on your system, we will be able to run it through our web browser! It would be nice to be able to go to www.Battlefield4.com to play the latest battlefield game rather than having to load the game on to your system, only time will tell if that happens though.

Now game developers and publishers can bring high performance games to the Web without plugins. Try the technology for yourself! Visit emscripten.org and hacks.mozilla.org for more information.
