Ubisoft Confirms The Division 2 and Updates for the Original

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that a sequel to the original The Division is coming and will be called The Division 2. The second game in the franchise is being developed by the same studios that handled the first title. Those studios include Massive Entertainment, Red Storm, and Ubisoft Reflections.

Players will be able to move some progress from the first game to the sequel, but exactly how that works is unknown. The full reveal of The Division 2 will happen at E3 2018 this summer. While a sequel is coming to the original game, Ubisoft is going to continue offering updates to the original title.

New global events are on the way as part of the future updates for The Division. A patch is also coming for the original specifically for the Xbox One X to support 4K resolution.

This coming June, an update will bring Crests. Crests are achievements that will unlock rewards in The Division 2. The Division 2 is expected to land on all platforms including PS4, Xbox One, and PC reports Gamespot.
